Biography

The Rutabega is one man, Josh Hensley, who is from South Bend, IN. His debut album, Cobus Green, was released in 2002 on Johann's Face, a punk label out of Chicago. The Rutabega's strong sense of personalized storytelling was quite a change for the label, but the tales of romantic breakup and finding oneself are quite familiar no matter what the genre. While Hensley plays acoustic, personal tunes of his life in the vein of other modern indie rock-folk artists who wear their hearts on their sleeves, he does so using the occasional lyrical oddity and quirk as well as utilizing keyboards in the music making process.
