  • They Say...

These guys are from Cleveland, the heart of the Midwest, the closest ocean -- the Atlantic -- is at least several hundred miles away...and the entire theme of this band is surf, sun and sand? Despite the contradiction, this is some ultra-cute pop-punk with every song starting off with a drum roll followed by harmonized vocals. And if the subject matter doesn't deal with a broken heart or having a mad crush on some surfer girl, the Beatnik Termites want you to at least boogie along to tracks like "Surf Dancin'" and "Termite Hop." All in all, this is a lot of fun even if everything on here sounds almost identical.
